Honey Be Good

Honey Be Good was written by Boo Hewerdine and Tony Shepherd and released in 1988 by The Bible. This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite overlooked bands of the 1980s. On the surface the song is simple and unassuming, but there is something about the way the melody unfolds that has always appealed to me. The emotional arc snaps together effortlessly. As is usually the case, I sing it several steps lower than the familiar recording. For this arrangement I moved it from B down to D on the low side to better suit my voice.
