Ring Them Bells was written by Bob Dylan and released in 1989 on Oh Mercy. The song draws on Biblical language and imagery, unfolding as a call that moves outward-from sanctuary to city-toward something both personal and communal. It has been taken up by a range of artists, including Sufjan Stevens, Thea Gilmore, and Joan Osborne, each leaning into its hymn-like character in different ways. This performance is presented in a stripped-down setting. Song: Ring Them Bells Written by: Bob Dylan (1989) Performance: Jason Paul
